Continuing on from the Album concept this one is more subliminal about the makeup of what we are and the extremes we go to to get where we want to be forgetting that we are human the ‘prod’ at bones is the gentle reminder to remember that it’s all of our basic structure, broken bones is something many of us suffer from as an analogy people can break and it’s who we are that determines how we can fix ourselves, time is the healer and all that.
The starting lyrics ‘climbing higher and higher’ again is meant to envisage what we do and the energy given to us really only comes from the sun ‘life is the sun’
but the more we put into our efforts the more we have to fail, ‘reaching out we find our failures’ is a summery to that thought, but we keep going, sometimes well into the late hours to get where we belong we’ll try anything we can.
Always touching on the whole picture of life I had to throw in that there are extremes in everyones lives ‘the dirt drys out’ ‘the water swells’ suggests that what happens at one end has another effect at the other but we will destroy both effects to get where we want to be, it’s really a message to say that we should all look at ourselves every once in a while
‘For we are just bones for our broken bones’, a subliminal message meaning the depressive term ‘we are never going to change no matter how much we are hurting because we feel pain’
It’s always a tough one putting lyrics together but in my mind it makes sense but I can see that to others it really might not..so here I hope i’ve explained it a little for you.
